Should i explain about her now? Yah why not, if you dont wanna read about her just skip this bit, but if you wanna know why she has cards you could read about her weapon bit, might clear it up

Rikku ran from Kiri when she was seven years old after her father killed her mother in a twisted experiment (not sure what that is yet) she travelled around the different villages for most of her teenage years where she worked for various shady characters to get food and money. She built quite a reputation for herself andmanaged to get into the bingo book for various assinations and crimes.
Just after she turned nineteen,a tall blue skinned dude, obviously kisame, turned up and asked her to come with him. Rikku knew who he was and his reputation and she didn't really have anywhere to go so she followed him.
The leader of Akatsuki explained how he had been watching her for quite some time and wanted her to join the Akatsuki, much to his dismay, she refused. She stated that she didn't want to devote her whole life to one thing and wanted to roam around freely for a little longer. Leader understood this and made a deal with her, if she helped them out with achieving their goal then she could go afterwards. Rikku had heard alot about the AKatsuki and more, thei members. She knew if she tried to run off she'd probably be killed so she agreed. Leader put Rikku with Sasori and Deidara (later, Tobi and Deidara)

...gawd this is long. Okay, now onto fighting. Rikku uses five cards to fight with. The king, queen, club, spade and the Joker. She will pull all five cards out and they will be blank to begin with, in order to make it work, Rikku pulls in a tiny amount of chakra from which her enemy radiates and it will be attracted to a certain card. Rikku has no power over which card it goes to. The chakra seeps into a card and a picture will appear, either king queen etc. After this, Rikku will chuck that card in the air and make a handseal. The card will dissapear and it will look like nothing happens but when Rikku opens her eyes, they will be a certain colour. Either all red, all blue, all gold or all brown. This indicates which element she now has control over, if the opponent has chosen the king card, her eyes will go red and she will have power over fire, queen card= blue eyes, water power, club card= yellow eyes, lightening power, spadecard= Brown eyes, earth power. She also obtains certain advantages when she has the power of a certain element.
Fire: Can't be burnt.
Water: Can breath and see underwater.
Lightening: Runs near light speed.
Earth: Hit and breaks most earth marks (cliffs, mountains etc)

The joker is the rarest card to be picked but the strongest and is how Rikku got her nickname. If the joker is drawn, Rikku will gain control over all four elements and their advantages and her chakra and chakra control will triple.

There is a disadvantage to these attacks (...isn't there always?) This can happen when using any card but its very rare, it only usually happens when she uses teh Joker. If Rikku uses the joker card for too long, she goes through various stages of transformation where each element willtake over her body and then all four will merge eventually. This puts a massive strain on Rikku's body and if it carries on for too long, her body will start eating away at itself to try and fight off what the elements are doing, this will ultimatley end up in Rikku's death. This is why she perfers to use the other cards and not the joker, if she feels herself losing control she has to snap out of it in the early stages or she cant stop it. Even if she manages to snap out of it, it usually leaves her in an unconcious state for at least three weeks.

Last thing, Rikku believes that Art is a gamble, (stupid idea putting her with sasori and dei) She thinks that the best type of art is where you take a risk so it is really up to her opponent to take the chance and choose which art she is going to make, her best or her worst.

Phewww, that took ages, i hope i didnt bore you to death and that last paragraph was so hard to word...anyway, i need to go give my hands a rest...enjoy!
